Rebonding + high tea

Last week was so shiok, it was a long weekend due to the Deepavali holiday in Singapore.

I finally decided to do rebonding because i just couldnt stand my hair any longer lol..the studio said it was better not to do rebonding till the wedding is over so its easier to style my hair but i really buay tahan liao haha..

did some research on the net on which hair salons were good for doing rebonding, initially i wanted to go to the K1 salon @ Amk central where cindy did her rebonding that time..i called and they said for my hair length it would be ard 120 to 130 plus and only protein treatment.

Then i found this other hair salon recommended by someone on her blog called Artica, its at Far East Plaza (my fav shopping centre even after so many years lol).

So i made an appointment and went down on Friday to FEP. The senior stylist Nic did my hair, she's pretty quiet but professional. She just asked a few questions like when i did my last rebonding and what kind of rebonding i wanted.

I didnt want to have super straight poker hair but a more natural straight so she recommended the soft rebonding which cost $120 (if i rem correctly) with free treatment, cut which was pretty worth it. They served drinks while i was there which i thought was a nice touch. In general, i think its great when hair salons serve drinks cuz it just gives customers a very good impression of the place. PLUS it doesnt cost much so its very effective marketing!

eniwaz here are my pictures of my hair before and after rebonding

After doing my hair, i met up with Kelvin to have dinner with Ah Long and Lynn at Sushi Tei. Lynn said my hair looked nice and the rebonding was very natural ;D

High Tea

The next day, had high tea with Sharon, Christine and Cindy to discuss some of the wedding games for the actual day to tekan Kelvin and his brothers haha..

We were supposed to go TWG @ Ion Orchard, however because Cindy and I went to do our nails (manicure plus pedicure) at FEP (btw we saw xiaxue and her friend at the nail place) and it look longer than expected, we were late. By the time we arrived at TWG, Christine and Sha already had gotten a table for 4 however they could not hold the other table meant for me and cin due to the long queue -.-It was like mega crowded and squeezy there, the tea salon is pretty small and very limited seating. Cin and I joined the queue but the waiting time was so long that we realized by the time we managed to get a table, they would be done already.

Christine and Sha were already finishing by the time we were there so after that we headed to another place for second round of High Tea at Royal Copenhagen @ Taka.

There was short queue (seemed like everybody had the same idea to have high tea that day!), they were quite a few empty tables but dunno what the staff were doing..they didnt clear the tables fast enough so the queue didnt move very fast. After a while, i approached one of the staff to ask if they could get us a table and shortly we were seated.

We ordered this set for 2 with scones, cake, quiche, sandwiches and tea/coffee.

scones with curled butter, jam and cream

cake - we chose blueberry cheese cake

quiche - didnt really like this

mini sandwiches

We came up with some ideas for the games, next time will have all my jie meis meet up to discuss further!

Took some pics with the girls

there are really a lot of foreign workers working in the service sector in singapore, at the nail place at Far East, TWG and Royal Copenhagen, almost 80% of the staff were foreigners hmmm...ok im not being racist or anything but i really think the service standards recently have dropped..i think the business rationale is to cut costs by employing cheaper workers but i feel the quality has dropped in Singapore because the staff are not very concerned about customer satisfaction and they are not very conscientious..but okay, what to expect right? after all they are not being paid very well and i know Singaporeans are not very serviced orientated either..

after high tea, we were pretty full. Christine wanted to cut her hair and Cindy wanted to go back to the nail place to touch up her nails so we went back to Far East. Christine went to Artica as well and i think she enjoyed the head massage during the hair wash keke..
