This hit U.S. television show "Gossip Girl," follows the lives of students at an elite Manhattan private school. It's done in such a way like a blogger "aka Gossip Girl" who is dishing out the dirt on the most talked about privileged elite students in the school, following their scandals, love lives, family happenings etc. Of course, nobody knows why Gossip Girl is :)
It's just what i imagine expensive private schools in the US to be like, with super rich kids leading a lavish lifestyle: throwing cool parties at their houses, getting invited to Sunday brunch parties sipping champagne & strawberries, hanging out at the exclusive members only areas at the coolest clubs in town etc. I can just imagine celebrities like the Olsen twins, Ashlee Simpson and Paris Hilton doing this kinda thing lol.
