Yesterday, my uncle passed away. It was very sudden and unexpected. My mum and I had just came back from my Lasik appointment at SNEC when my granny called from my Xiao yi's house. She said that my uncle had fainted at home and they had just called the ambulance. I was initially quite surprised but didnt think much of it cuz fainting didnt really sound that serious. My grandfather then headed out of the house to look after the 2 kids while my granny went with the ambulance to Changi Hospital.

1 hour later, my 2nd auntie called to say that my uncle had passed away. Apparently he had already passed away when they found him unconcious at home. I was taking a nap at home and my mum was crying when she asked me to wake up to go to the hospital. I was so shocked and we quickly went to meet my 2nd auntie and her husband to go to the hospital together. When we rushed there, we saw my xiaoyi and my granny there crying. Xiaoyi was in a state of shock, alternating between lookin lost and bursting into tears when she talked about my uncle. I think she's most worried about her 2 kids who are only like 3 and 5..I feel so sad for her and my cousins, losing their father at such a young age. My uncle's only like in his late 30s or early 40s. Even though i didnt really know my uncle that well cuz he's pretty quiet and reserved, i know that he loved his 2 daughters very much. Xiaoyi said that he was a workaholic and even though he was sick for the past week at home, he still worked from home. It was so sad when i saw her sayin to my uncle that she will take care of the 2 children and when she asked him to stop worrying and to close his eyes. Because his eyes were still opened when we saw his body, and somebody said that it was because he still had many things unfinished and couldnt let go.

Life is just so unexpected and short. You'll never know what happens next and when you least expect it, something strikes out of the blue.
