Today i visited dad and i saw that his fingernails were dirty again.

We've told the nursing home several times to help to clean his nails and initially they do try but after that it happens again. So now I usually clean his nails myself whenever we visit. I tell you it's no joke to dig all the dirt from beneath his fingernails but I can't bear the thought of dad eating
food using his soiled hands!!

Plus his bedsheet was also wet so I was quite irritated and told the staff to change the sheets and reminded them his doc appointment was coming on Wed to and to make sure his nails are cleaned before that so that the doc wont think how come the nursing home never take good care of him. I told them that i know its hard to clean his nails cuz he will throw sometimes tantrums or hit them but they just have to try to do it when he's not in a bad mood.

I felt a little bad after that but im just so exasperated at the lack of attention they pay to the residents at the home. Every time we visit im always cleaning his nails and asking them to change the bedsheets cuz it's dirty, then im wondering if we never visit him are they actually doing anything at all -.-

Sometimes its not that i want to be fussy or keep reminding them to do stuff. Maybe they dont care cuz its not their family member staying there but im sure if it was their own parent, they would want to make sure that their parent is well cared and taken care of rite? sigh.

but what to do, i think cuz they are short handed,.ok lah I think I shd try to be nicer abit, will try..
