Japan Honeymoon - Part V (last part!)

Tokyo stay at Annex Katsutaro Ryokan

Booked 2 nights stay at Annex Katsutaro Ryokan for the last leg of our Japan honeymoon. It was highly rated on Tripadvisor and thought to give it a try.

It took us quite a long walk to get there from the Nippori station and because we had our 2 large suitcases with us, it was quite a challenge climbing up the hill with our luggage in tow. Finally we got there after what seemed like 15-20 mins.

The location of the ryokan was in a quiet neighborhood. We checked in late at night and were taken to our room. It was pretty big by japanese standards.

hallway to the room

futon beds

the futon beds are pretty comfy, but because it was winter it was freezing cold. it didnt help that the room didnt come with a heater. It made the stay somewhat not very enjoyable..

toilet - simple and functional but not much toiletries..

The following pics damn funny....we decided to take some pics of ourselves in the yukatas, check out Kelvin's poses and expression..priceless LOL..

what is Kelvin doing??

*check out the evil stare*

The next day, we did some shopping at Shibuya.

The famous Hachiko statue @ Shibuya

streets of Shibuya

Did some shopping at 109 building in Shibuya..see the pretty white and black Cecil McBee bag? that's a free bag carrier to put your purchase in! Its just amazing the attention they devote to packaging in Japan..

cute red bus near our hotel

love the blue blue sky..I always wonder, why are the skies so gorgeous overseas compared to Singapore?? its like the skies in Singapore are always full of clouds, so yucky...

Back to Singapore!

Haneda airport. This airport is amazing man..

Restaurants and souvenir shops at Haneda airport.

The airport even has an observatory area! *see the sky.. i am not exaggerating, it is really nicer compared to sg rite??*

so cute!! Kelvin bought me a small squeaky keychain, its hanging on my bag now haha

For all the hello kitty lovers out there, eat your heart out lol

hello kitty cuttlefish anyone??

Couldnt resist getting this! If you watched the animation Kiki's Delivery Service (Studio Ghibli) before, this is Jiji the black cat from the show. The paws and legs are magnetic so it can hang from anywhere!

this is from another Ghibli animation Ponyo..but kinda creepy looking frankly haha

Grabbing a quick bite after checking in..the hot dog is not cheap hor!!

Love the toilets in Japan, i wish i could bring back one to Singapore to use lol..

Ok finally the end of my super long post on our Japan honeymoon trip.
