Guanyin's house warming party

Went for my cousin's housewarming party a couple of weeks ago. Ah yi and jiu jiu they all came along with ah ma and ah gong..of course the cousins came too (except wei wei who couldnt make it)..

The house was simply but quite nicely renovated.

Guanyin was very happy with the presents me and Jie got her. I got her a cutlery set from Tangs compete with plates, bowls, cups etc.. Jie got her a pair of matching cups with swavorski crystals that looks like a huge diamond ring!



I told Guanyin her place so near my office, i might come over one day and stay over haha..she said no problem! hehe..

Friday night out with friends

Met up with Sharon and Christine for Christine's belated birthday dinner treat and my early birthday celebration too since Christine is leaving for holiday in australia soon..

We had dinner at MOF @ Raffles City, Christine and I i ordered salmon with avocado pasta, it was ok only..too oily and very small serving..the avocado was hard and not nice at all, christine also didnt really like it..Sharon ordered some salmon bento set which she said was pretty ok, at least its nicer than our pasta! Ok im so not gng back to MOF next time..

It was still early so we went to Timbre @ The Substation near the old National Library for drinks..

We ordered some finger food (Buffalo wings), and I ordered Pina Colada my fav cocktail..





My pina colada was pretty yummy but got too much ice :(

The band started playing at 10pm and it was pretty good i must say..the girl's voice was abit soft or muffled but the guy was v enthu..he looked like he was having fun singing/jamming on the guitar..Timbre got pretty crowded after a while so we were glad we came abit earlier if not we wld have to be standing outside waiting for seats.,

Kelvin came to pick up me after that and we headed to Demsey for another round of drinks with Eunice and Wenbin ;D

The place is pretty big, there's a section for dining, spa and a bar. We got a table outside and it was pretty hot ;/ I got bitten by mosquitos too..

They got very unique drinks..I ordered some mojito drink which was pretty strong, the guys got beer..



And Eunice ordered something very cool - Tiffin Carrier or something! Its like a real old fashioned tiffin carrier and they put the cocktail inside. It serves 4 and costs $59. Tastes very nice, got lychee and some grapefruit thingy haha.
