Ooops it's been a while since i had the time to update my blog. Have been busy the past couple of weeks with everything happening and stuff..

Anyway here's a long post to make up for it!

Sparks Party @ DXO

Wenbin sent us a link about this Sparks party to be held at DXO on CNY eve's eve in rememberance of the good ol' times during Sparks days at Taka haha..I've only been to the sparks at Cuppage but Kelvin used to go sparks very often when he was young..

Kelvin and I luv techno music (that's how we met!) so of cuz we bought tix and went tog with Kelvin's friends! Cindy and Kelvin's brother went along too haha..

Wah so many ah lians were there, just like the good old times during the techno music crazy days.


Entrance with pre-sale tickets only! all the tickets were sold out days before the actual day


Darn long queue, we had to queue up for close to 1 hr i think..





We had to wait another 1 hour while there was some beatboxing performance and hip hop dancing (abit salah rite, having such hip hop performances on a techno music nite)

I think everybody really enjoyed ourselves that nite except it was so blardy hot inside the club everybody was sweating like mad..They should organize more of such parties next time, the crowd turnout was so strong and it seems there's still alot of pple who like to dance to techno music ;D

CNY celebrations

CNY eve:

This year I visited Kelvin's relatives in JB together with his family for the first time.. I didnt know the causeway link had shifted and now the Malaysia customs is much further away compared to last time!


In the back seat of the car stuck in traffic to JB

What struck me the most was the moment we passed Singapore customs into JB, the differences in the roads, buildings, shops and houses in the 2 countries are so stark. Hmm

Kelvin's uncle brought us to a chinese restaurant in JB for the CNY reunion dinner..The food was not bad, the waitresses served the dishes so fast one after another..i think they were trying to get rid of us early so they could serve other customers lol.

We had sharks fin soup, sea cucumber, fried cereal prawns and other nice dishes. The yam paste dessert was not too bad either..

His wife is a taiwanese and quite friendly, so were their children. Their whole family seem very closely knitted together and Kelvin's cousins are very close to their parents which is very heartwarming cuz i find the teenagers nowadays in singapore like to do their own stuff and not v close to their parents.

Playing blackjack with my cousins - another age long tradition in our family lol. Zhenwei kept bugging us to play the moment he arrived at ah ma house..





Pinnacle @ Duxton

My cousin Guanyin just collected the keys to her new flat at Duxton, i went down with her to take a look hehe..Turned out my uncle and auntie and ah ma were also there to take a look and she brought my cousins peiling and peizhen too.


I've never seen so many units in a flat before! I think the highest floor is 40 something

Guanyin brought me up to the highest floor (sky floor or terrace or something) to see the view from the top.


It was so cooling up there, the wind was v nice hah. It was pretty high up and i felt abit scared when i looked down from the top floor man..


They put seating areas around to encourage the residents to interact i think..pretty cool

Will be going down this Sat for Guanyin's housewarming so will post more pics then!

This is a new cake/pastry shop at Somerset 313 (the latest shopping centre in Orchard). So kawaii i couldnt resist taking a pic of it on my hp.

The shop sells very sweet and pretty stuff, you can buy a plain cake (u can even choose the size of the cake ) and decorate it yourself using the toppings provided!

Laduree macaroons from Europe from my sis - limin brought them all the way back after her visit to Switzerland heh
