Can't wait for end August to come, I can finally take a well deserved holiday and visit my sis in Switzerland for her wedding ;p

Was waiting for a cheap deal for the air tix since May and didnt book anything cuz the tickets were hovering around 1.2k to 1.5k. I was hoping that with the recent downturn and H1N1 virus going around, the airlines would slash prices..so I checked Zuji Travel and kayak.com almost everyday but the prices didnt change much. The best promo i saw was for Emirates but even so, you have to stop over in Dubai or something and the price was around 1.2k..

Then a couple of weeks ago, i saw on zuji there was a promo for Thai Airways for around 995 SGD per pax from SG to Zurich!



I've always had a good impression with Thai Airways since I took Thai Airways when i first went to Europe in 2006.

The service was excellent, their flight stewardesses were always smiling and very friendly. I remember the inflight food that they served was pretty good for airline standards, got some thai/asian food and western food choices. The only thing i thought could have been better then was the inflight entertainment. Cuz they only had 1 big screen for each section of the plane and they played some boring movies or documentary zzz..But still, my experience with Thai was much better than Swiss Air which i took the second time i flew to Switzerland or even SQ for my trip to Japan and Bangkok.

But this time round, before I booked the tickets i checked the website and the plane model used for the flights to Zurich is A340-500.



AND yes! they do have individual screens haha..i know, its like nowadays most of the airlines have individual screens even for economy class but seriously u'll never know..and i dont want to sit through a 15 hour flight when there is no individual entertainment screen..i'd just die lol..

So yes, our air tickets r booked and we're ready to go and visit Jie! After the wedding, we will be visiting Paris, France and Florence, Italy while we're there..Jie has booked a 5D/4N package tour for us from a travel agency in Switzerland for the trip to Florence which includes the hotel and train tickets from Geneva and so that's pretty much covered. For the Paris trip, Jie has booked the hotel at Hotel Therese we just need to book the train tickets and that's about it!

Cant wait for time to fly so I can go shopping in Europe. August come quickly!! :D
